The scene suggested several possible exposures
A report described an adult found unresponsive near containers for dalfampridine, valacyclovir and temazepam. The emergency team documented seizures and obtained drug measurements. The report recorded a dalfampridine concentration of 530 ng/mL and followed the patient’s clinical and EEG findings in intensive care.
The evidence differs for each drug
A container at the scene helps identify possible access to a medication. It does not establish who took it, when, or in what amount. A measured concentration provides direct analytical evidence for the compound tested. It still needs a collection time and clinical context before it can be used to assess how much a substance contributed.
Build the exposure inventory by evidence type
For each possible substance, record what was found at the scene, what was reported, what was measured and which signs or events were documented. That prevents a list of containers from becoming an unsupported list of confirmed ingestions.
